Bagi majlis pertunangan baru-baru ini, hasil musyawarah bersama ahli keluarga makanya, berikut adalah senarai semak bagi majlis tersebut:

haha. Kenyang family encik tunang dalam perjalanan pulang rasanya. Termasuklah bekalan yang pihak perempuan siapkan di dalam tupperware (kerana tak jumpa pulak sia)

Sebenarnya, hantaran yang dipersetujui hanyalah 5 berbalas 7. Tetapi saya tidak diberitahu tentang hantaran tambahan oleh makcik-makcik until the very last minute sehari sebelum & pagi hari pertunangan itu. 5 dulang yang berlebih  daripada pihak perempuan adalah di sponsor oleh saudara-mara. 

Caca marba sikit lah jadinya warna & hiasan hantaran pihak perempuan. 

Untuk tempat menyarungkan cincin, mak suggest untuk menyewa mini pelamin walaupun pada awalnya saya tidak bersetuju.

I was thinking of having a very simple ceremony, kalau boleh baju pun pakai dress dari Pop Look saja. Minimalis habis. 

Tapi seperti biasa ditentang oleh Mak. haha. Baik lah. Jadi kita sewa mini pelamin. Boleh jadi sebagai tempat bergambar sekali. 2 in 1 gitu.

#Semua dibeli on the dot one day before majlis di pekan Tanjong Malim saja.

Bila make-up sendiri pasti ada pro & cons. So here we go:

Pros: Semua blend in dengan jayanya.

Cons: Make-up iolls tak tahan lama. 3 jam selepas itu muka seperti tidak bermake-up & looks pale without any colors. oh-uh.

Official Photographer: None. I asked my cuzz to be our official photographer because he owned a DSLR camera. lol.

#this is a budget ceremony.

ps: Semua on the dot beli, justeru tiada jenama mahal sebab kita nak cut cost. sobs. sobs.

pss: Selepas ini akan mulai membeli make-up semula. Penting untuk sebarang event.

The E-Day

Alhamdulillah. It all went well.

*relief*

Pagi-pagi sebelum itu, perasaan masih lagi 'cool' . Dah siap kena bebel & bising dengan bakal tunang malam sebelum kerana tak sempat untuk check keadaan homestay yang beliau tempah beberapa hari sebelum ni.

Agak mengecewakan keadaan homestay yang dia tempah. Seolah-olah terlalu lama tidak dibersihkan. Makanan & minuman lama di dalam peti ais masih tersimpan. Sinki yang kotor tidak dibersihkan dan terbiar.

Tapi sayangnya, hanya mampu untuk complaint saja kerana duit telah pun dibayar awal melalui online transfer. Sigh.

Beberapa jam sebelum rombongan tiba, barulah rasa macam jantung nak pecah. haha. Lambat betul otak ni memproses.

Mujur ada teman baik kesayangan menemani. Kalau tak menangis lah hadap perasaan 'nervous' sorang-sorang.

Aturcara majlis adalah seperti berikut:

10.00am : Rombongan lelaki tiba
10.30am : Perbincangan antara kedua belah pihak (tempoh bertunang & tetapan wang hantaran) & bacaan doa selamat
11.00am : Sesi sarung cincin & ambil gambar bersama tunang, keluarga & saudara mara
12.00pm : Makan tengah hari
02.00pm: Majlis bersurai

Okay. Settle dah bab upload gambar pertunangan. Actually it was a very simple occasion.

Terima kasih kepada mak, abah, nenek, pakcik & makcik serta saudara mara jauh dekat yang terlibat secara langsung & tak langsung dalam membantu ksepanjang majlis ini sehingga akhir.

Alhamdulillah. Second milestone checked! So now on 25th Oct 2014, I'm officially a someone else's fiancee.

Perasaan? It's a mixed feelings. Rasa syukur, lega & at the same time risau. Al maklum lah, orang kata tempoh bertunang adalah yang paling mencabar dan banyak menguji mental bakal-bakal pasangan pengantin.

Darah manis kata orang. :p

Merasa juga nak berdarah manis rupanya kerana awal perancangan kami berdua hanyalah untuk risik & terus ke majlis nikah. as simple as we can.

But being the first & only daughter, my mom objects the plan and wanted me to have the engagement ceremony. And because I am the first grandchildren on my mother's side, the excitement is quite overwhelming in the extended family.

Pre- E-Day Post

Alhamdulillah. One milestone checked last month. So now I am in the midst of preparing for my e-day. *Lap peluh sikit*


Hantaran

Since both of us agreed not to buy expensive and luxurious items for our e-day, we decided to keep it minimal and simple.

The main reason is due to our future planning. We decided to do some investments soon so we need to save up alot and be a bit thrifty to ourselves.

But obviously the B2B will always break the rules first. Haha. Luckily our e-day is only a month after the risik (which was decided during the risik), so yeah, no overspending happened.

Except for the telekung. Tapi agak sayang kerana harganya 2/3 kali ganda agak mahal berbanding kualiti. Sepatutnya boleh dapat dengan harga yang lebih murah. I guess that is the risk if bought through online unless you have been the frequent buyer. Phewh!

And in exchange, I decided to gave him a perfume set. So that we're equal. Lol.

He requested for La Nuit De L'Homme by YSL.

But unfortunately it was sold out earlier. So, instead of La Nuit, he will receives L' Homme set. The difference of those are from their intensity. La Nuit is a bit more intense compared to L' Homme which is a bit lighter. Too bad that we didn't came across the seller earlier. Ni pun search thourgh online.

Haha. Masih belum putus harap kepada online seller lagi. Alhamdulillah the price is affordable. Sangat. Boleh kata almost 50% lesser than the counter price in mall. Originality? I'll tell you later after this. Hehe.

Perfume Test

Ookayy.

Last night kita buat perfume test. On my skin & baju. My hands are still smelling good when i woke up this morning even after I have my shower.. Plus it's gonna be my fav perfume for him soon because it smells good on me, so it will definitely be good on him too. Sniff. Sniff. :p

The seller did offer us some perfume set for her. But then that means I need to add on more trays to complement him. So no, we'll buy later on for another occasions.


For now let's stick to our budget. Minimal budget. The aim is not to 'membazir' and get the ceremony done bless and blissfully.

La Nuit Pour Femme Tester

and oh! I received a small tester of La Nuit Pour Femme for her by Boss as a compliment (gile rugi tak mintak gift lain sebab tak pernah beli set, so tak tahu bole request. sobs.sobs).

Terus falls head over heel dengan bau dia. Siap-siap masuk dalam wish list dah. haha.

Shopaholic No More

Living a life back as a student definitely taught me to be really calculative when spending money. It was quite different back then when I was working. Nothing to calculate, nothing to worry. Just spent, spent, spent. Whenever, wherever and whatever I want.

Phewh!

So now, welcome back to the student's life. No more splurging yourself in unnecessary items. Online shopping? What's that?

Poplook? Zalora? Tak pernah dengar pun.

Haha.

You see, Allah always know best how to teach His servant to overcome his weaknesses. So this is the lessons im trying to pass at the moment.

Like prophet Muhammad pbuh said before,

"live this life as a traveller. this dunya is only a place for you to take a rest for a while before continuing your journey back home (akhirah)."

And I couldn't remember who said this, perhaps Rasulullah pbuh recite this as a duaa (correct me if im wrong), and was explained by Yasmine Mogahed

"never put dunya in your heart for it will destroy you. put it on hands and use it to gain the best for akhirah."

One Step Closer. Risik.

Risik

Alhamdulillah. After few times delayed due to some events, his family finally came to our house for a so-called 'risik' event.

It is actually more to a visit from the guy's family to the girl's family to get to know each other and discuss for further planning for the children.

I was told that it will only be one car coming that day, which the guests would be only his parents and him.

But he made a surprise for us by coming with three cars. Haha. Nice one dear.

Making me felt even more nervous. I was sitting at the back all the times during the session. Not knowing what to do.

Luckily, I was making the right choice by staying put at the back until they finished the discussion and preparing themselves to go back. Sumpah, I forgot everything about the custom and tradition at that time. That during the risik ceremony, the girl should just stay inside because it is only a discussion between the parents in which doesn't involves the girl herself (unless if she's disagree to get engage with the guy).

Nervous punya pasal. Semua lupa! Lol.So, let's belanja a pic during the event. wink. wink.

A week before My Birthday.

Last Sunday I found my old journal. The one that I planned to jot down every single momentos, life plan and lesson learned from various experience gained previously.

Sadly, the book was not being properly used. There were only few pages written with some long sappy and regrettable post. Oh-uh.

Perhaps I haven't reach the maturity milestone put on earlier.

There are few items I have been watching closely recently. My study plan and quality time with loved ones and my ownself.

I began to cope with what life has thrown up on me pretty well. Some things I learned to let go with heart wide open, and others I started to take part/charge/full responsibility/accountability be it on decision, opinions etc.

FOCUS and STAY PUT

Travelling back home from Umrah on June, have given me extra insight. One thing that fascinate me from the journey was the diversity in terms of culture, perspective and lifestyle.

We learned to respect others, and bits by bits building up positive mindset towards stranger (while at the same time being cautious and guard up). Allah definitely taught us in so many ways throughout our life.

During my previous working years in manufacturing industry, my mind was conditioned to think that multitasker is the most productive ones. And while struggling to juggle the work life balance in which I failed terribly, I soon lose my ability to focus on one thing from start to end before swiftly move on to another tasks consciously.

When I move on to academic line, specifically in research area, I was lost. I can't stay put in one area longer as I should. The mind was moving swiftly from one  to another without my consent! Which left me with countless info and made me lost focus on what's important and needed to be done first.

That was what I learned during my umrah ---to stay focus on one thing first before move on to another thing. And I learned it during the prayer times.

To be honest, it was pretty hard to stay focus when your mind was in auto mode thinking about so many things. But along the way, insha Allah I hope I will be better. And when it becomes a habit, I can let my subconscious mind do the job.

As we grow older and wiser, we need to be mindful when selecting what to use, to learn, to keep, to love etc from the choices given by this world. Because whatever we take from this dunya, will be our responsibility in the hereafter.

Hopes For Upcoming Birthday

And as my birthday is coming in few days more, I pray for a better physical, mind, heart and soul to serve as His servant the best I should.

September, please be good to me! ;)

p/s: May Allah give me strength to fix the broken relation between us too. It has been the longest winter without you and been missing you badly. ogk.

Falling into its place - Recap 2014

selamat tinggal shah alam

Waktu berlalu pantas.

Sungguh, kini hampir separuh tahun 2014 telah saya lewati. syukur alhamdulillah di sebalik gelombang hati yang mengasak jiwa, segalanya mulai tersusun indah.

Tiada yang lebih menenangkan melainkan saat menatap wajah-wajah tua ayah bonda saban hari. Walau pun sekadar bertemu di pagi dan malam hari kerana menunaikan tanggungjawab masing-masing di siang hari namun itu sudah cukup menghilangkan segala resah di hati.

Siapa saya untuk menidakkan hati kecil sendiri yang telah sampai waktunya untuk tinggal bersama mereka kembali.

Cukup serasanya 3 tahun menetap sendiri. masa untuk pulang ke pangkuan keluarga. dengan sebenar-benar kembali.

Jasad dan hati.

Bukan lagi sekadar pulang di hujung minggu.

This is my heaven on earth.

Ujian. Moga Jadi Penghapus Dosa

Bila selalu sihat dan jarang-jarang sakit, kita mesti akan terlupa untuk merasa syukur atas nikmat yang kita selalu dapat. Seolah-olah itu keperluan wajib memang kena bagi, bukan disebabkan oleh kemurahan Allah untuk kita.

Saya perasan semenjak akhir-akhir ini, kondisi tubuh agak lemah sedikit. Sedikit sahaja jadual hidup terganggu, badan akan mulai sakit-sakit. 

Moga cepat sembuh wahai diri!
